← About Malaysia | The 13 Malaysian states and the federal state :
1.Selangor : Its center is the city of Shah Alam, it is considered one of the most densely populated states in Malaysia and is a vibrant urban center. It is distinguished by its strategic location near the capital, Kuala Lumpur, which makes it one of the main economic centers in Malaysia, and includes many commercial, financial and industrial centers, and is home to major companies and the headquarters of many national and international companies.  
 
2.Johor : Its center is the city of Hohor Bharu. It is considered one of the largest states in Malaysia in terms of area. It is famous for its charming natural diversity and wonderful beaches. It is the center of commerce and industry in Malaysia. Johor Bahru is home to vibrant commercial centers and industrial facilities. The Malaysian economic zone overlooking the Strait of Johor is also an important center for maritime trade and shipping, in addition to its borders with the State of Singapore.
3.Negeri Sembilan: Its center is the city of Seremban, located in the south of the Malaysian Peninsula. It is one of the states that preserve the Malay architecture and ancient heritage buildings and contain parks and nature reserves such as Taman Negera Similan Park, Port Dicson Port and its famous tourist beaches.
4.Malacca : Its center is the historic city of Malacca, which is an important historical site with its roots dating back to the Middle Ages. The historic city of Melaka has been registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List and is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Malaysia. It has a diverse heritage that reflects different influences from Malay, Chinese, Indian, Dutch and Portuguese cultures. 
5.Pahang : Its center is the city of Kuantan, and it is one of the important tourist centers in the country, as it contains wonderful coastal resorts, picturesque natural parks and mountainous areas, and many tourist highlands such as Genting Highland, Cameroon Highlands, Bukit Fraser and Bukit Tinggi, and is home to mines, waterfalls, lakes and the National Nature Reserve. Taman Negera Park.  
6.Terengganu : Its center is the city of Kuala Terengganu, a coastal state located in northeastern Malaysia and known for its beautiful sandy beaches and tropical island resorts such as Perhentian and Redang, and it has a natural water reserve, Lake Tasik Kinger.
7.Kelantan : Its center is the city of Kota Bharu, located in northeastern Malaysia on the eastern coast of the Malaysian Peninsula, and bordered by Thailand to the north. It is preserving its cultural and Islamic heritage, and is considered a destination for food lovers, as it is distinguished by the diverse local cuisine.
8.Perak : Its center is the city of Ipoh, and it is considered an important cultural and historical destination. The old city of Ipoh includes many historical buildings and attractions, such as the Vera Palace, the Karantine House Museum, and the old Ipoh Market. It is famous for its charming landscapes and agricultural fields, in addition to the tourist island of Pangkor.
9.Kedah : Its center is the city of Alorstar, and it is one of the main agricultural areas, as it is famous for growing rice and fruits. It is distinguished by its ancient history and rich culture, extending back to the ancient kingdoms of Kedah. It includes the historical city of Alor Setar, which contains many cultural and historical monuments. Kedah also enjoys stunning natural scenery, and includes the famous tourist island of Langkawi.
10.Penang : Its center is the city of Georgetown in Penang Island, which is connected to the state by the famous Penang Bridge. It is located on the coast of the Andaman Sea in northwestern Malaysia and is known for its unique blend of Malay, Chinese and Indian cultures. It is one of the main and busiest commercial centers in the country.
11.Perlis : Its center is the city of Kangar, it is the smallest state of Malaysia in terms of area and is located in the northwest of the country. It is bordered by Thailand in the north, and there are green plains, agricultural fields, and two major rivers, the Perls River and the Padang Perls River. It also features charming mountain scenery, and the ancient city of Kangar, which contains cultural relics.
12.Sabah : Its center is the city of Kota Kinabalu. It is characterized by environmental and cultural diversity of different ethnicities and tribes. It contains the Titawi mountain ranges and the Kinabalu summit, which is a destination for nature and climbing lovers. It is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters, and there are many nature reserves in it, and it is a major center for business and trade in the north of Peninsular Malaysia.
13.Sarawak : Its center is the city of Kuching, it is the largest state of Malaysia in terms of area and is located in the northwest of the island of Borneo. It is bordered by the South China Sea to the north. It is distinguished by its natural diversity, as it includes rich tropical forests and the Rajang River, which is one of the longest rivers in Malaysia. Known for its stunning mountain scenery and wildlife areas, it is a hub for the oil and gas industry.
Federal state (Persekutuan): It is the one under which the three provinces fall: Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya.

Federal state / the three federal territories:
1.Kuala Lumpur: the capital of Malaysia and the largest city in the country, located within the state of Selangor, a thriving city that combines different cultures and traditions, is considered one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Southeast Asia. It is famous for its distinctive modern and traditional landmarks, and is also a major commercial center, and a center for cultural and entertainment events, the most prominent of which is the Petronas Twin Tower.
2.Labuan: a center for international financial services and ship trade, as it is a free zone for trade and finance. It also includes the lively port of Labuan, which is an important entry point for maritime trade in the region. It is located in the state of Sabah.
 
3.Putrajaya: the administrative capital of Malaysia, located within the state of Selangor, Aisa. It was established in 1995 to be a center for the federal government and government administration. It is carefully planned with a unique design and developed infrastructure, with its modern architecture and government buildings with innovative architectural designs, and it has a center for international conferences.
